Mission Possible Teen Center

Welcome to Mission Possible Teen Center! We are a safe, multipurpose center, which provides access to the kinds of meaningful activities, mentoring relationships and supportive systems that foster positive development and healthy relationships.

The teen center is a place where teens have the freedom to be themselves and explore who they are in a safe, supportive environment. MPTC is rooted in the belief that teens from different backgrounds share the common experience of adolescence and the common need for positive connections. The foundation of programming at Mission Possible is based on supporting resiliency in youth and creating opportunities for them to have positive life-learning experiences. All teens are held to a high level of expectations relative to behavior and respect for themselves, others and the facility.

Program Information

Mission Possible is a drop-in after school program that is open to all Westbrook teens. All of our services and activities are free for our youth! Snacks and dinner are served daily and teens can earn points to spend at our “store” for snacks, drinks and other fun stuff! All of our activities focus in the areas of recreation, life skills, prevention and education.

Winter Hours:
Monday –Friday 2-7pm

Summer Hours:
July - August
Monday - Friday 12-5pm.

MPTC Basics

New teens and their legal guardians are required to fill out membership information and agree to the guidelines and expectations that keep the center a safe and comfortable place for everyone. Once this happens, they have full access to the teen center’s resources and activities.
The MPTC facility includes ping pong, pool, and other game tables, basketball, computer access, lounge areas, an art area and supplies, and a full kitchen and café. While all activities are optional for youth, at least one structured activity is planned everyday and special events range from pool tournaments to cooking, dances, and field trips. We also provide gender specific preventative education programs for both boys and girls, homework help, arts and crafts, life skills workshops such as first aid and resume building, opportunities for youth to perform community service, and much more! To view our monthly activity calendar click here.
We honor one of our youth every month as Teen of the Month! That individual gets their picture and article in the American Journal, a gift certificate of their choice, a meal of their choice for dinner, and they get to invite friends to join us at the junior high school swimming pool on the first Saturday of the month! Come on in to find out how you can become teen of the month!!

We are also always trying to bring in volunteers to run new activities and groups for our kids! Check out our volunteer page if you are interested in volunteering!

Staff and other Resources

Mission Possible currently has four staff members that supervise the center, along with many volunteers that help with activities and meals. The center is supervised at all times by at least two trained staff members, and all staff and volunteers are CPR/First Aid certified and have background checks completed before working with youth.

During the school year we have a Master’s in Social Work intern as well as undergrad interns to supplement our staff. We are so excited to have this opportunity!
